Why is the Courmayeur Ladies Open becoming a Pure Air Zone?
It has been almost two years since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic and it is important to not let our guard down, especially as winter is coming. With cases beginning to rise again in some countries, it is clear that health and safety is of the utmost importance and key to this is in ensuring the air quality, to stop the spread of viruses and other contaminants.
Air quality at tennis tournaments cannot be understated and with Courmayeur at the forefront of innovation, and to ensure maximum safety of players, staff and spectators, it has been decided for the tournament to become a Pure Air Zone throughout its duration. Alongside this, U-Mask will be providing masks at Courmayeur.
How is a Pure Air Zone being provided at Courmayeur?
Studies have shown that great air quality can be beneficial to sporting performance, and U-Earth is happy to ensure that those competing at Courmayeur will be able to deliver their very best on court.
The Pure Air Zone, consisting of AIRcel bioreactor air purifiers and air quality monitoring software, is being installed throughout the Courmayeur Sport Center with three further AIRcel air purifiers being installed in the VIP hospitality area. With each Pure Air Zone contributing to the depollution of the planet in a measurable way, it is fantastic to see the WTA Tennis Tour taking the lead on installing such a system to ensure air quality at tennis tournaments.
